Throop River
Took a few shot alongside the river Stour on Sunday. A really hot (low 30’s) day, so the insects were solar powered. So getting something to be occupied by doing something else (mating, eating etc) was necessary to get close.
The first subject I got to stay reasonable stationary was a butterfly – a Green-viened White.

Then I came across a pair of mating damelflies, which then flew off as I approached only to land above another pair already at it.

Finally something munching which could not fly away – a pair of prickly caterpillars.
