Blues at Kingcombe Meadows
Took a visit to Kingcombe Meadows a Dorset Wildlife Trust site, near Toller Porcorum in Dorset.
The meadows were awash with bright yellow flowers and admist them were some butterflies, including some Common Blues that I managed to get to pose for my Canon 100mm F2.8 USM lens. The best 3 shots from today are shown below.

This first shot was taken hand held in natural light at F5 at ISO 400.

Common Blue
The second shot also taken in natural light at ISO 400 at F8

The last shot was also taken at ISO 400 at F8, with flash.
Map of Location
The Environmental Centre and Car Park are located here. This is a Dorset Wildlife Trust reserve.
A lovely set, and wouldnt have known that you used flash on the last shot unless you had mentioned. Great control on the amount of flash put down.

Thanks Pete
I had dialled in -1 and 1/3 flash exposure compensation in ETTL mode, metered off the butterflies body. I think the ISO of 400 also helped.
