Blues at Kingcombe Meadows

Took a visit to Kingcombe Meadows a Dorset Wildlife Trust site, near Toller Porcorum in Dorset.

The meadows were awash with bright yellow flowers and admist them were some butterflies, including some Common Blues that I managed to get to pose for my Canon 100mm F2.8 USM lens.  The best 3 shots from today are shown below.

I've been taking macro photography from 2004. I use both Canon film and digital cameras.

A lovely set, and wouldnt have known that you used flash on the last shot unless you had mentioned. Great control on the amount of flash put down.

      Thanks Pete

I had dialled in -1 and 1/3 flash exposure compensation in ETTL mode, metered off the butterflies body. I think the ISO of 400 also helped.
