Ramsdown – Dragons, damsels and streaks.
Visited Ramsdown (HCT) site near Hurn today. Weather was nicely sunny and on a walk round with my Canon 100mm macro lens I managed to get some shots of firstly a Green Hair Streak butterfly, before it showed me why it got it’s name in the third shot. All shots used flash from my Canon Twin Macro flash in ETTL mode.

The same Green Hair Streak (Callophrys rubi) on Heather again – ISO 100 F8 with flash.
It streaking off! ISO 100 F8 with flash…too slow I feel for it!
I also came across this nice Scarce chaser- (Libellula fulva) that I managed to get basking in the sun on a couple of it’s favourite resting spots.

Lasly I came across a red narrow winged damselfly (Pyrrhosoma nymphula).
