Bees up Close

Finally spring is appears to be upon us.  So went out with my Canon MPE-65mm lens with the Flash fitted with some hastily cobbled together diffusers – I need to fix my domes, as they’ve got battered about during their non use.  The diffuser today was a taped on deodorant tops that I used in the concave experiments with some velum papers wrapped around the outside.

The weather was sunny with showers, and quite warm ( 11 degrees!) so the bees were fairly active.  However managed to get these 4 shots that I like from the trip  to the river side fields opposite White Mill (NT) near Wimborne.

Car park is here - photos taken from fields along the river, just past the Mill.

I've been taking macro photography from 2004. I use both Canon film and digital cameras.
