Mirror Mantid
Yesterday I decided to take some shots of an attractive Orchid Mantid. I also thought it would be nice to take it’s reflection too, so I put it on a Mirror. To remove the hotspot reflection of the flash I need to use to get a sharp image as I was indoors I put the mirror and mantid under a light tent. Then I triggered a 580ex Speedlight situated outside of the tent via an ST-E2 trigger mounted to my Canon 650D.
These are the results from the shoot. The first taken early on is of the Mantid regarding it’s own reflection, I did wonder at one point if it would attack itself, but it soon just resumed it’s normal watchful pose.
