Trip to the Woods.

Took a trip to Garston Wood to check on the state of the flowers etc.  Cold April (9 degrees) with a strong wind and overcast.  So took only my MPE-65mm around, hoping to find some bug life.  There was little showing – probably due to the cold.

However I did find a bluebell to shoot ( yellow background is a piece of card – in this and two of the fly shots).

Then I found a fly on a bluebell, which handily stayed around and posed.  Not sure if it is a fly or hoverfly.

And finally found this ant in a green flower.

I've been taking macro photography from 2004. I use both Canon film and digital cameras.
