Asian Tiger Mosquito by Gordon Zammit

Here are some macro images of an Asian Tiger Mosquito, taken by Gordon Zammit – who wisely took these photographs in an enclosed studio at his home.  Having it enclosed meant he could take shots of the mosquito without fear of it biting him.  The macro images are all taken on a Canon MPE-65mm lens, and as per usual Gordon has got excellent detail in the pictures and has used a variety of colours in the background.

This next one, is the pic of the bunch for me – I think the orangy colours really set the subject off.
