Thursley Trio
Here are a trio of macro images from a visit to Thursley Common today. This was my first visit of 2015 – and the normal large numbers of Black and Common Darters were not present today. Either it is early for them – or I was not looking in the correct places – although they were my normal go to spots.
On the first path I walked down, I was pleased to find a mating pair of Small Red Damselflies on gorse.
Later on I found a resting Common Darter on a small stick over one of the pools. This image has a subtle Topaz Restyle effect applied to give the background, which was greyish, a more warm tone.
Finally one of the many Common Lizards that were bathing on the boardwalks. A photoshop Tilt-shift filter effect has been applied to blur background more. A tutorial of this can be found in this post.
