Assorted Insects

Here is an assortment of insects that I took on Bank Holiday Monday at Blashford Lakes.  There was not a lot about due to the cold weather.

However this doc leaf beetle did give a chance to try out the diffusion setup – and it works well for me.

The largest insect was this Tenthredo livida Wasp, which I had to resort to a two shot panorama to get it in frame.  ( I only had my Canon MPE-65mm lens with me).

I liked the way this tiny fly on seemed to peer into space in this one.

On a nettle leaf, I found this Caddisfly.

And on the adjacent leaf this small green eyed fly.
