More Magnetics
I recently had another session shooting macro photos of magnetic substances. This time I again used Ferrofluid – a magnetic fluid. And additionally, later added some Iron Fillings to the mix.
In these images – all taken with a Canon MPE-65mm 1-5x macro lens, a magnet is places at the back of a petri dish, which when the magnetic substances are added to the dish they react to the magnet. The petri dish also keeps the magnet clean, especially from the ferrofluid, which is an oil like liquid.
I used coloured gels on my Yongnuo YN24ex Twin flash to add colours to the shots.
Here are the images from the session.
All images taken on a Canon 5D Mark IV.
