Matley Wood and Messing with Nature.
Visited the New Forest again today, this time Matley Wood. The purpose again to shoot some fungi in the dry spells in the afternoon, following the mornings heavy rain.
Took the following macro photographs of the fungi in a small part of the wood. Some are natural occurrences, the others though have been arranged or staged. I.e Not all the items in the shot were there as I found them.
In the first shot below for example the mushroom is there, but I added the Chestnuts. Whether this makes or breaks the shot is up to the viewer. In the cases below I do like the end result.

This next shot is even more obviously staged, with the Chestnut seeds and case over the trees leaves.

The mushroom below is a totally natural shot.

Followed by another staged shot, only the fungi was there originally.

Another natural photo below of fungi on an old tree stump.

Finally another slightly staged shot, the chestnut seed being moved closer to the fungi.

All the shots were taken in natural light only on a tripod.
